IU releases “Memories of the Sea” for ‘Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea’


On May 9th, the organizing committee of the ‘Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea‘ officially appointed singer IU as its honorary ambassador.

To commemorate the event, they have released the theme song sung by IU for this year’s Expo, “Memories of the Sea“. Since the Expo is an international affair that attracts tourists from around the world, IU delivered both a Korean and English version of the song.

“Memories of the Sea” was composed by Yoon Sang and lyrics were contributed by Park Chang Hak.

When news that SMent is going to film “Hana Kimi” started spreading, netizens have been making up their own dream-cast lists. Recently, SM officials have already released part of the cast list on their official site.

The current list had Shinee’s Minho as popular high-jump athlete, Izumi Sano, SNSD’s Yoona as the female lead Mizuki Ashiya, Super Junior’s Kim Heechul would act Shuichi Nakatsu as who fell for Mizuki Ashiya, causing him to be confused of his own sexuality. SECRET GARDEN



SBS weekend drama, Secret Garden additional revenue is close to 20 billion. South Korea Advertising Broadcast Corporation (KOBACO) representative to Newsen on a phone call stated that they got 1 to 20 times from previous ads revenue. Ads airtime typically were given 10% (8 minutes) from 80 minutes drama airtime.

On the other hand, Secret Garden OST until now is sold out around 30.000 copies while the concert 2000 tickets were sold out just in 5 minutes.

The appearance of fairytales of “Alice in Wonderland” and “The Little Mermaid” also gained popularity. A book publisher shared that currently “Alice in Wonderland” books sold 110.000 copies and “The Little Mermaid” so far 10.000 copies. And also exported to 13 countries.woowwww :)

Meanwhile, on Jan 16th, Kim Joo Won (Hyun Bin) and Gil Ra-Im (Ha Ji won) was getting married and drew a happy ending in the final 20th episode hit 35,2% in TV rating (based on AGB Nielsen Media report).

Synopsis :

Synopsis:

Bo Ye, a famous star, his friend and manager are having difficult issues, economically speaking. Each of them needs a really large sum of money, whether it’s for a sister’s school fee (Bo Ye), debts (manager) or paying the house after his parent’s company has bankrupt (friend). However, Bo Ye bought a lottery ticket, more of desperation than actually believing in it, had won a lottery worth 30 million dollars. The only problem is that he lost the ticket, and the only person who could’ve had it was a taxi driver, Chen De Xin. So, the trio started hanging around her, such as booking her taxi for a whole day, hoping to get back their ticket somehow. Bo Ye, after seeing that she definitely didn’t have his ticket, tried to stop his friends from bugging her, but the money gave them determination.

De Xin, on the other hand, had come to Taiwan in order to find her lost dad all the way from Shanghai. His coworker, Ah Li, acts as her guardian angel. Therefore, it’s only natural for him to unlike Bo Ye from the first meet up.
